St. Luke's Team 1 for 2014 arrived safely in San Pedro midday Friday. We had smooth, on-time and uneventful flights. We had a wonderful, unexpected treat when Bishop Anne, who had just come in on the red-eye from LA, stopped at our gate at RDU. It was a wonderful send off.
The Tropic Air flight from Belize City to San Pedro was beautiful -- and fast. Our rooms at Ruby's were ready for us, so we could settle right in. After a little time to rest or explore, we had a delicious dinner at Caramba's. DandE's ice cream shop was closed Friday, but the sign on the door promises they will be open today. Since everyone had been up since the early hours of the morning, we said good night early.
Saturday morning we met for breakfast at Estel's where the new members of the team were introduced to breakfast by the sea and fry jacks. Some of the group is going snorkeling this afternoon while others explore the island and renew old friendships.
We know we are here to do whatever God (and Mr. Freddie) has planned for us, and we are thankful for your support and prayers. Stay tuned. We will try to post each day.
Waiting in the Atlanta airport.
